Portmanteau Vol. 1 | Loan Agreement
Welcome! and thank you for being part of Portmanteau Vol. 1, a new initiative by Lydian Stater.
By completing and signing this loan agreement, you are committing to:
1. Installing Portmanteau at your place of preference (home, park, work, parking lot, or any other place you consider appropriate).
2. Following the instructions for installation of each work.
3. Documenting the exhibition (Photos and video documentation)
4. Sharing documentation of the exhibition with Lydian Stater through social media or email.
5. Filling out and signing the loan card in the box.
6. Keeping the work safe, including treating each piece and the box with care and attention.
7. Handing off Portmanteau to the next person on the loan list in a timely manner. You will be put in touch with the next person borrowing the exhibition. (Note that the exhibition hand-off should take place in one of NYC's five boroughs.)
8. Returning Portmanteau to Lydian Stater promptly if requested for any reason
9. Compensating Lydian Stater in the amount of the purchase price of Portmanteau ($500) if any of the works are damaged, lost, stolen, destroyed or otherwise rendered incapable of display while in your possession. For the sake of clarity, a work is not considered damaged through any alterations or effects caused by following the installation instructions.
10. Holding Lydian Stater harmless for any liability of any kind whatsoever in connection with these arrangements.
Entire agreement: The parties agree that this Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between them on this subject matter and that no other oral or written understandings exist that could modify the contents of this Agreement.
We encourage:
-Inviting others to see Portmanteau by hosting opening or closing receptions of the exhibition, or any other events surrounding the presentation of the work at your place of preference.
-Tagging the artists if you decide to post on social media!
-Taking time to connect and know the person to whom you're handing off the exhibition.
